Max came back for first.
Max and Patrick won the Freestyle Peeps and Pups division at the Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon in 2024, then won it again in 2025. That same year, Max placed second among the small dogs.
In 2026, Max won the Small Dogs division, and he and Patrick took second in Peeps and Pups. In the clip below, he keeps his place near the nose while his surf partner rides behind him.
